Extract from the Applause (August 2009)

The world is full of people who are very quick to dream and very slow to act. Often it's because they have failed to break big goals into manageable goals but more often, it is fear of failure and lack of detailed planning. We don't plan to fail but we fail to plan. Many people are so afraid of failure that they never try anything. Neither do they plan.

When obstacles come, they give up too easily. But for every failure, there's an alternative course of action. You just have to find it. When you come to a road block, take a detour. Go in another direction. Don't let a stmbling block stop you. Go over, under, around or through it, but don't give up. Have a confidence in yourself and you will find another route. Remember, obstacles either "polish us up" or "wears us down."

Here are few essential steps that we could plan ahead to lead us realize our dream.

Write down your goals in 3 main categories:

  1. Things you want to be
  2. Things you hope to do
  3. Things you wish to have

You can ask yourself these few questions on your Goals Setting adn Planning?

  1. What di I want?
  2. Why do I want it?
  3. How am I going to achieve it?
  4. By when?
