Mary Kay develops, tests, manufactures and packages the majority of its own products at its state-of-the-art plants in Dallas and China.
In 2006, sales of Mary Kay® products exceeded $2.25 billion in wholesale sales. Approximately 500 women worldwide have become Independent National Sales Directors, the highest status within the independent sales force. More than 33,000 women across the world have become Independent Sales Directors. In the United States, more than 14,000 women have attained this goal. Mary Kay scientists regularly consult with independent dermatologists and other medical experts around the world. In a typical year, Mary Kay spends millions of dollars and conducts more than 300,000 tests to ensure that Mary Kay® products meet the highest standards of quality, safety and performance.
